Creating Footnotes

This lesson will show you how to create footnotes in the CMS. The benefit is that it automatically creates a link, so that users can easily find the footnote text.

Create the Annotation

To create a footnote, wrap the annotation in brackets. For example:

I am a sentence that needs to be footnoted.[1]

Create the Footnote

?name=Credit_Union_of_Southern_California__Admin_sections-3_1.png

At the bottom of the page (or wherever you'd like to put the footnote), type in fn<number>. where the <number> is the corresponding footnote number. Be sure and leave a line space between footnotes so that the CMS knows where one ends and the next one begins.
